Channel [v]‘s Launchpad is a popular Television show that showcases new rock music talent of India.
Zero, Them Clones, Helga’s Fun Castle, Zephyr, Pin Drop Violence and The Superfuzz are some of the most successful Indian rock bands that found their fame at this platform.
With Blue Frog starring as one of the venues, the 2009 season saw 7 bands fight it out, living in one big house and being trained by the popular rock star of India, the cocky, amusing and relentless Vishal Dadlani, Bobby Talwar and a guest judge.
Bands were trained and judged on the basis of their musical prowess, originality and versatility as musicians. Bands were then eliminated one by one, after each round, in search for that one true Indian rock band that made the cut.
[v] Launchpad’s philosophy behind the show is to gather confident and musical talents from our multi cultured country and find that revolutionary new sound of Indian Rock.
