URBAN INDIA

An insight into Indian urban culture, its people – women, men or animals, its habits, perverse or pious. Possibly an abstract reflection of who I am, and what I identify with. At least, for now.

BANDRA WORLI SEA LINK

The Bandra Worli Sea link is the first ever open sea side bridge to be built in India. Built to connect two of the most popular sectors of Mumbai. Worli, the corporate area to Bandra the Cosmopolitan. The Sea Link now enables speedy travel between Bandra and Worli, cutting travel time of 60–75 minutes to 7 minutes.

C FOR CLOWNS

C for Clowns, a play, was a show created completely out of improvisation on the rehearsal floor. Six clowns trace – a day in the life of a circus/theatre performance. The act included mime, pantomime, acrobatics, dance, and the spoken language of “Gibberish”. The Play was based on an actor’s experience – on and off stage.

INDIAN FILM INDUSTRY

As far as I can remember, I have been fascinated with the people who created fictional worlds. In my case it began in my family, with two noted hindi writers. Some of their stories like ‘Sara Aakash’ and ‘Rajnigandha’ had led to the launch of ‘Indian parallel cinema’, a term I understood only later.
